Philanthropy and Engagement Coordinator Full-time 2 year Fixed Term Contract
Position summary
Join our Philanthropy & Strategic Engagement team as a Philanthropy & Engagement Coordinator, supporting events, stakeholder enquiries, philanthropic gift processing and administration. We’re seeking a proactive, adaptable team player with a can-do attitude.

About the role
- Coordinate internal, external and offsite events, including logistics, bookings, invitations, RSVPs, suppliers and volunteers.
- Provide professional support and timely responses to donors, supporters and other stakeholders.
- Process and receipt philanthropic gifts, reconcile transactions and ensure supporters are acknowledged.
- Maintain accurate information across Salesforce and other fundraising and engagement platforms.
- Manage shared inboxes, phone enquiries, mail and day-to-day team administration.
- Support team projects, programs and process improvements while meeting compliance, privacy and safety requirements
About You The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:
- You are a proactive, adaptable professional with experience in events, administration or customer service.
- Event coordination, administration and database management experience.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- A flexible, collaborative and can-do attitude, with confidence learning new systems.
- Integrity and alignment with SAHMRI’s values and commitment to Reconciliation.
Special Requirements
- Some out of hour's work may be required.
- Police Checks may be required.
- Current Drivers Licence is required.
