Regional Youth Support Services – Gosford NSW
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Operational management of RYSS - an NGO community-based youth support agency on the NSW Central Coast.
Working with the CEO and the broader staff team to ensure effective management of services within the organisation.
RYSS provide a wide range of services for young people and young families - youth work, early intervention and intensive case management.
The RYSS team frequently engage and support those with high and complex support needs to build confidence, positive social networks, and support their transition into independence.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain the highest standard of Youth Service provision in the Central Coast region
Coordinate staff and resources
Advocate for young people and service provision in the community
Develop and implement policy, procedure, and protocols in response to need
Maintain budgets and effective asset management
Maintain operational IT systems
Maintain and develop quality reporting and accountabilities to diverse funding providers
Develop funding and grant submissions on behalf of the service
Keep accessible and clear records of service activities
About you
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Welfare, Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Management, or a related discipline
Experience of program implementation, supervision, coordination, and/or management within the Not-for-Profit (NFP) and NGO sector, including understanding of government funding arrangements, compliance requirements, and stakeholder engagement
Experience working in frontline roles within the youth sector
High standard of IT efficiency, with demonstrated computer literacy, with in-depth practical experience operating client record systems, communication tools,
and data management
Strong ability to communicate in an adaptable, effective and efficient manner both written and verbally
Solid practical experience in handling feedback and resolving grievances and conflicts
Experience in the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and procedures
Good knowledge of organisational budgets in the context of a not-for-profit organisation
Current NSW Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS Worker Check, and unrestricted driver's licence
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of child, youth and family support, including trauma-informed practice, strengths-based and solution-focused approaches, early intervention, and person-centred service delivery

In that time, RYSS has grown as a community based, non-government organisation to be the largest locally based provider of youth specific services in the region - today delivering a range of youth work support, information, advice, and referrals, case work, advocacy, youth specific disability services, as well as programs, events, and activities that support and encourage young people as they develop their skills and abilities in living independently on the Central Coast.
RYSS maintains a close-knit, focused, professional, and supportive team of Case Managers, Youth Workers, Facilitators, and Specialist Intervention staff, to foster and further develop social, financial, and education networks with young people, to build capacity, engage the support of referral services and specialised skills programs and facilities in order to best meet the individual needs and personal goals of young people across The Coast.
