Responsibilities n
n
Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet Worley, the client's and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
n
Consider 'fit for purpose' solutions from concept through to as built is developed considering safe and sustainable design, constructability, commissioning phases, operability, maintainability and decommissioning.
n
Proactive interest in leveraging digital and AI-enabled tools in day-to-day work.
n
Understand and consider safety hazards and risks associated with the asset lifecycle of the designed product, plant or structure.
n
Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions with support from seniors.
n
Perform discipline specific engineering services such as: n
n
Prepare/support the production of calculations, drawings and related documentation.
n
Interpret and apply the applicable technical standards.
n
Deliver as per the scope of work, identify changes to the scope and communicate with the lead.
n
Support in project reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and safety in design workshops as required.
n
Understand and support the project change management processes.
n
n
Ensure self-check is completed on all deliverables and ensure compliance with checking and review activities as per Worley processes.
n
Interface with other peers, seniors,
engineering disciplines and Workshare team to complete engineering design and ensure delivery of high-quality deliverables
n
Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, the client and other Worley personnel.
n
Actively contribute to the development and improvement of Worley engineering systems, processes, practices, and procedures.
n
Understand and consider
interdisciplinarity
interfaces across design packages.
n
Tertiary qualifications with a 4-year bachelor's degree in engineering majoring in Electrical Power or Electrical Engineering.
n
Minimum 5 years technical experience undertaking engineering design at discipline level.
n
Experience in brownfield electrical systems modification detailed design and understanding of instrumentation and control system interfaces.
n
Able to work across multiple projects.
n
Experience across most phases of engineering projects.
n
Excellent understanding of Australian electrical standards.
n
Good understanding and experience in most areas of: n
n
Equipment sizing, cable routing, equipment layouts, lighting design, earthing design, arc flash requirements and HV switchgear and MCC design.
n
Control system interfacing and instrumentation.
n
Electrical calculations required for design.
n
Protection systems and relay settings (overcurrent, earth fault, motors, VSDs).
n
Creation of design drawings such as SLDs, schematics, terminations, schedules, layouts.
n
Site experience such as scoping solutions, equipment inspections, construction and commissioning.
n
Witnessing and inspection of equipment during FATs, SATs.
n
Preparing ITPs, MTOs, datasheets, specifications, construction methodologies, philosophy documents, procurement requisitions and construction scope of works packages.
n
Understanding of electrical estimates and execution schedules.
n
Understanding of shutdown planning and considerations for design.
n
