Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly connected Venues Sales Manager to drive social and corporate group business across two bars and a restaurant at 1 Hotel Melbourne.

This is a proactive, revenue-focused role for a motivated sales professional who understands Melbourne's hospitality and events market. You will be responsible for developing new business, building strong client relationships and delivering an additional $1 million in venue revenue during ****.

With an uncapped tiered bonus structure, this role provides significant earning potential for someone who can build a strong pipeline and consistently convert opportunities.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Proactively generate recent corporate and social-event business for the venues.
n
Build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, agencies and local businesses.
n
Identify and pursue opportunities for private dining, celebrations, corporate functions and exclusive venue hire.
n
Conduct client meetings, venue tours and site inspections.
n
Prepare tailored proposals and confidently convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
n
Develop repeat business and long-term preferred-client relationships.
n
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, activity plan and revenue forecast.
n
Work closely with venue operations,
culinary and marketing teams to deliver seamless events.
n
Ensure bookings meet approved minimum spends, pricing requirements and venue positioning.
n
Represent the business at relevant networking and industry events.
n

You will be a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys developing relationships and creating new business opportunities.

You will ideally bring:

Demonstrated success in hospitality, venue, hotel, events or corporate sales.

An established network within Melbourne's corporate or events market.
n
A proven ability to prospect, negotiate and close new business.
n
Strong commercial awareness and confidence working towards revenue targets.
n
Excellent presentation, communication and relationship-management skills.
n
The ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining accurate follow-up.
n
Experience using a CRM or sales-tracking platform.
n
A proactive, resilient and results-focused approach.
n
A genuine understanding of premium hospitality and guest experience.

Remuneration and Incentives n
n
$80,000 base salary plus superannuation.
n
An uncapped 12% accelerator on qualifying revenue above $1 million.
