Job Description
Mount Isa Hospital, part of the North West Hospital and Health Service in Queensland, is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join its Acute Care Adult Community Mental Health team. This is a five-week contract position running from 26 October to 29 November ****, based in Mount Isa. The role offers an opportunity to deliver mental health support in a regional setting, working alongside an established team committed to accessible, quality care for the local community.

Deliver acute and community mental health care to adults in a regional hospital setting
n
Five-week contract with transparent dates and defined scope, ideal for clinicians seeking focused engagement

Work within Queensland Health and CIMHA frameworks in a supportive, collaborative environment
n
Preferred Requirements n
n
Current experience working within Queensland Health mental health services
n




Demonstrated knowledge of CIMHA (Consumers, Individuals, Mental Health Australia) principles and practice standards
n
Ability to work effectively across acute inpatient and community mental health settings
n
Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills in adult mental health
n
Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and consumers
n
Preferred Qualifications n
n
Relevant tertiary qualification in nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or allied mental health discipline
n
Current professional registration with the relevant regulatory body (AHPRA, AASW, or equivalent)
n
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist experience in mental health practice
