nAn established and financially strong commercial builder is looking to appoint
Project Coordinators
to join their growing project team across two major Melbourne developments.n
nThis is an excellent opportunity for a
Project Coordinator, Contracts Administrator or Site-based Project Coordinator

nThe Opportunity n
nThere are currently
two Project Coordinator positions available
, each offering exposure to different aspects of construction delivery.n
nBoth roles are suited to someone who has a solid understanding of the construction process and wants to be involved in the project rather than sitting purely in an administration capacity.n
nYou will work closely with the
Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client
, gaining broad exposure across the delivery of major residential developments.n
nProject Coordinator You will join a
social housing development
consisting of 3 levels and a basement, currently progressing through the finishes and services stagesn
nThe position is a
hybrid Project Coordinator role
, combining project coordination with site-based administration, safety and project systems.n
nYour responsibilities will include:n
n
n
Coordinating finishes and services packages
n
Supporting site administration and project documentation
n
Assisting with safety and compliance requirements
n
Maintaining project systems and records
n
Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
n
Assisting the Project Manager and Site Manager with day-to-day delivery
n
Tracking project requirements, documentation and deadlines
n




Supporting the wider project team through the delivery phase
n
Getting involved with general construction coordination where required
n
This role would suit someone who enjoys being
hands-on with the project and site team
and wants exposure to multiple areas of construction delivery.n
nProject Coordinator n
nThe second opportunity is based on a major residential development out east, with the PC playing an important role across:n

Facades

Procurement

Purchasing

Supplier coordination

Supply chain management
n
Subcontractor coordination
n
Project administration
n
A particularly important part of this position will be managing
purchases and supply-chain changes in conjunction with the client

nYou will therefore need to be commercially aware and confident coordinating between:n
Site Suppliers Subcontractors Procurement Client Project Team
n
nThis is not a traditional administration-focused PC position. The successful candidate will need to understand
how construction actually works
, be comfortable communicating with different stakeholders and have the confidence to follow issues through from identification to resolution.n

nThe builder is open to candidates from a wide range of construction backgrounds.n
nThe ideal candidate will have:n

Previous experience as a
Project Coordinator, Contracts Administrator, Site Coordinator or similar
n
Strong understanding of the construction process
n
Experience within
commercial building
n
Apartment or multi-residential experience highly regarded
n




D&C; experience advantageous
n
Strong understanding of subcontractor and supplier coordination
n
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Strong organisational and administrative capability
n
Commercial awareness
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
n
A practical, solutions-focused approach
n
Confidence communicating with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
n
A willingness to get involved and understand the detail when required
