Best Life Individual Support Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Sunshine Coast area. As a casual employee, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support and care to our clients with a disability, empowering them to live their best lives.
What you'll be doing n
n
Assist clients with daily living activities such as community access and participation, meal preparation, and household tasks
n
Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, promoting their independence and wellbeing
n
Collaborate with the broader care team to develop and implement tailored support plans
n
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and procedures
n
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
n
Supporting our clients towards living their best life and achieving their goals!
n
What we're looking for n
n
Previous experience working as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar role
n
Minimum 12 months experience in disability support or related community care roles
n
A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
n
Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
n
Patience, empathy,



and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with mental health challenges
n
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to meet the unique needs of each client
n
A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable registered vehicle
n
Valid driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for client transport
n
NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children Check
n
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification (renewed within last 12 months)
n
Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks and assist clients with mobility
n
Committed to do at least 2-3 sleepover shifts per week
n
