Our client is a large values-focused Federal Government Agency seeking
6 x Senior Automation Testers (APS6 level)
to support the delivery of mobile applications and emerging AI-enabled digital capabilities.

This is a hands-on technical testing role combining
mobile automation, API testing, UI automation and AI testing
. You'll work within multidisciplinary Agile teams to build scalable automation frameworks, improve test coverage and provide assurance across complex digital solutions. The role specifically combines mobile automation with testing AI-enabled functionality.

12 months initial term + 12-month extension option

Hybrid - minimum 1 day per week in office

ABOUT THE ROLE: n
You'll develop and maintain automated testing across mobile and digital products, covering UI, APIs, integrations and AI-enabled functionality.
n
The role has a strong engineering focus: building reusable automation suites, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, validating REST APIs and working closely with developers, BAs and other delivery specialists to identify defects and improve software quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: n
n
Build and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile applications.
n
Deliver functional, integration,
regression and end-to-end testing.
n
Develop reusable automation suites across UI, APIs and mobile platforms.
n
Test REST APIs and integrated Salesforce / MuleSoft solutions.
n
Validate AI-enabled features, including reliability and consistency of generated outputs.
n
Develop test scenarios covering expected behaviour, edge cases and failure conditions.
n
Manage defects and work with development teams through resolution.
n
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to ongoing QA improvement.
n
SELECTION CRITERIA: n
n
5+ years' mobile application testing and test automation experience.
n
Strong hands-on experience with
Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver
, with
Cucumber/BDD
n
Mobile automation experience using
Appium, Espresso, XCUITest
or similar highly regarded.
n
Strong
REST API testing
experience using
Postman
, including API automation.
n
Experience testing
Salesforce and MuleSoft
n
Experience developing reusable automation frameworks and test suites.
n
CI/CD experience using tools such as
Jenkins or Bamboo
and building automated test pipelines.
n
Experience across functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
n
Experience testing
AI-enabled applications or services
, including validating AI-generated outputs.
n
Solid Agile delivery, analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
