About The Role n
As a
Registered Nurse
you will manage all aspects of clinical care for the residents, focusing on dementia, falls management, wound care, continence management, palliative care, and more.
Responsibilities n
n
Providing services designed to promote healthy living, choice and independence
n
Undertaking assessments, developing and documenting care plans
n
Facilitating case conferences with residents and their families
n
Managing medications
n
Undertaking monthly analysis of clinical indicators and making recommendations to the Director of Care
n
Completing documentation in an accurate and timely manner
n
Delivering care in accordance with the needs, goals, and preferences of the resident
n
Managing admissions (specifically clinical assessment), leave and discharge
n

About You n
You will demonstrate compassion, kindness, and empathy with elderly and diverse individuals, maintain calm and optimistic under pressure, and respond intuitively to residents' individual wants and needs.
Skills and Attributes n
n
Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
n
Experience in residential aged care nursing with emphasis on clinical assessments, care planning, indicator analysis and medication management
n
Ability to deliver clinical training through toolbox talks and competency assessment
n
Ability to operate independently and professionally with limited supervision
n
Skill to work in a multi‐skilled team environment and communicate effectively with management, staff, stakeholders, medical and allied health professionals
n
Highly developed organisational skills and ability to determine work priorities
n
Understanding of the ageing process and commitment to advocate for older people in residential care and/or home care
n
Commitment to ongoing professional development
n
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and other desktop applications
n
Police check clearance
n
Up‐to‐date vaccination as required by legislation or industry best practice from time to time
n
Current Driver's Licence (desirable)
n
Relevant qualifications in gerontological conditions such as Dementia, behaviour management, palliative care, etc. (desirable)
n
