nAn opportunity has become available for an Accountant to join the Brisbane finance function of an internationally connected organisation.n
nWorking as part of a close-knit finance team, you'll gain exposure across a broad range of accounting activities rather than being limited to one area. The position offers a good balance of financial accounting, transactional oversight and reporting, with support from experienced finance professionals as you continue developing your career.n
nFor someone with a couple of years' experience looking for broader commercial exposure and a clear next step, this role offers plenty of variety and room to develop.n
The Role
n
nYou'll support the finance team across day-to-day accounting requirements while progressively taking greater ownership of reporting and month-end activities.n
nYour responsibilities will include:n
n
n
Supporting month-end close and general ledger activities
n
Preparing bank, supplier and intercompany reconciliations
n
Assisting across accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
Monitoring cash positions and supporting payment processes
n
Assisting with payroll accounting and related reporting
n
Supporting BAS and other statutory requirements
n
Preparing information and schedules for audit and year-end
n
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
n




Working with the broader finance team to resolve accounting queries and improve processes
n
n
About you
n
n
nThis role would suit an early career Accountant who has developed a solid grounding in accounting and is now looking for an environment where they can broaden their experience.n
nYou'll ideally have:n
n
n
3+ years in a similar role
n
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
n
Commenced CA/CPA studies, or the intention to commence
n
Good Excel skills and confidence learning new systems
n
Robust attention to detail and organisational skills
n
A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
n
Exposure to an organisation with international operations or a more complex group structure would be advantageous.n
