Job Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance HVAC Lead, the Facilities Specialist will participate in projects and day-to-day operations of work in repair, maintenance, coordination of contractors, security of the buildings and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities n
n
Involved in adjusting HVAC controls/systems and managing facility security system access controls
n
Involved in working with outside contractors for all building and grounds services
n
Check and monitor buildings and grounds on a continuous basis for potential hazards and security issues; handles security concerns, and roofing issues.
n
Assist with purchasing goods and services, getting multiple bids for each project
n
Follow safety rules and keep work areas in clean and orderly condition.
n
Fix unsafe conditions and perform all duties in a safe manner.
n
Serve as an active member of the Safety team working hand in hand with the EHS Specialist.
n
Manage plant waste materials, including hazardous wastes. Must understand and follow waste management requirements for handling hazardous, nonhazardous, universal and other wastes.
n
Skills and Experience n
n
High School Diploma or GED Required
n
3-5 years of experience in facilities or maintenance
n




Proven ability to work with vendors and contractors
n
Proven ability to

Must be able to work in a hot setting
