Role Overview n
We are seeking:
n
n
A motivated PLT student for a supervised volunteer placement; and
n
A solicitor seeking hands‐on experience across multiple practice areas.
n
n
Both roles involve close supervision, exposure to real client matters, and opportunities to develop strong drafting and procedural skills.
Key Responsibilities n
(For both PLT and Solicitor roles, with solicitor responsibilities expanding depending on experience)
n
n
Legal research and preparation of concise research memoranda
n
Drafting correspondence (letters, emails) and file notes
n
Assisting with preparation of court/tribunal documents and evidence
n
Document review, summaries, chronologies and indexes
n
Proofreading, formatting and preparing contracts and legal documents
n
General file administration and matter support
n
Solicitor only: n
n
Handling and managing files under supervision if required.
n
Attending court/tribunal appearances where appropriate
n
Client communication and matter progression
n
n
Practice Areas Exposure n

What We're Looking For n
PLT Candidate:

n
Enrolled in (or eligible for) a PLT placement
n
Strong written English and attention to detail
n
Professional, reliable, and proactive
n
Comfortable with Microsoft Word and PDF document handling
n
Second language skills desirable but not essential
n
n
Solicitor:
n
n
Admitted or soon to be admitted in NSW
n
Interest in developing broad generalist experience
n
Skilled, organised, and client‐focused
n
