Enrolled Nurse – Casual Pool
n Location: St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay QLD
n Employment Term: Casual opportunities available
Role purpose n
Deliver safe and holistic care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, applying best clinical practice to support patient outcomes and a safe care environment.
Responsibilities n
n
Deliver exceptional person-centred care by collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and applying strong communication and customer service skills.
n
Apply sound clinical practice to ensure a safe setting and promote optimal patient health.
n
Effectively exchange information with the Registered Nurse regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care.
n
Demonstrate application of clinical and workplace risk management principles.
n
Collaborate with other health professionals to coordinate care and achieve optimum patient outcomes.
n
Assist with appropriate allocation of staff, delegation of work, and maintain effective communication within the team.
n
Qualifications and requirements n
n
Diploma of Nursing or equivalent and AHPRA registration.
n
Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting.
n
Experience in one or more of the following clinical areas:



General Medical/Surgical, High
Dependency/Cardiac,
Rehabilitation.
n
Full Australian Working Rights (note: sponsorship is not available).
n
Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster and knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
n
Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
n
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations per infection control requirements and to undergo a national criminal history check and functional assessment.
n
