We have an exciting chance for a
Teacher Trainee
to join our school community in January ****.

Our teacher trainee model is unique and different from the standard pathway to teaching:
n
n
Teacher Trainees undertake their role with a view to complete an accredited initial teacher education (ITE) course through Alphacrucis University College and to enter employment with Launceston Christian School as a registered teacher upon course completion.
n




Teacher Trainees are employed part-time at our school and work alongside a mentor teacher for each year of their
employment/training
and will undertake progressive duties over this period to build their practice skills in preparation for graduate teaching proficiency.

On successful graduation and ongoing employment at the school, a significant contribution towards course fees is offered.
n
Applicants will need to be: n
n
Practicing Christians, actively involved in their local church and able to subscribe to the School's Mission Statement and Educational Creed
n
Eligible to undertake full-time study with Alphacrucis. Pathways are available for both Primary and Secondary teacher training.
n
Registered with a current Working With Vulnerable People (Employment) Card
n
