The Opportunity n
This is an opportunity to lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for a large multinational organisation with a multi-brand, multi-site operation across Australia and New Zealand. You will lead a team of more than 30 people through AP and AR Managers, with support from an offshore processing team. Accounts Receivable is central to the role. The business has high-volume trade customers across several business units. You will be responsible for cash outcomes, service levels and controls, and you'll lead a program of process improvement and cultural change across the function. This role would suit a hands‐on finance operations leader who likes building capability in a team and changing how a function works.
The Challenge n
n
Leading and developing a team of managers and team leaders across AP and AR, including offshore resources
n
Owning end-to-end accounts receivable performance, including cash collection, aged debt and debtor management
n
Overseeing the AP function to make sure suppliers are paid accurately, on time and with appropriate controls
n
Leading the simplification, standardisation and automation of AP and AR processes
n
Improving systems, reporting and controls across the function
n




Driving culture change, and lifting engagement, accountability and service standards
n
Building robust relationships with finance, commercial and operational stakeholders, as well as customers and suppliers
n
The Expertise n
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
n
n
Senior leadership experience across accounts receivable and/or accounts payable, including managing team leaders
n
Strong accounts receivable exposure, ideally in a high-volume, multi-site environment
n
A track record of leading transformation and process improvement
n
Proven ability to drive culture change and bring a team through change
n
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
n
Experience with offshore or BPO teams would be highly regarded
n
