Available as either a permanent opportunity, this position offers structured training, hands‐on experience, and ongoing mentorship from experienced industry professionals.

As a Trainee Detailer, you will learn the fundamentals of steel detailing while contributing to real projects in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role provides a clear pathway for skill development and career progression within the business.

Key Responsibilities
n

Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings and plans for steel frame and truss structures
n
Learn to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
n




Work closely with senior detailers and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance
n
Utilise industry-specific detailing and drafting software
n
Participate in structured training and hands‐on project work
n
Support the team with project documentation, records, and general administration
n
About You n
n
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
Valuable communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
n
Basic understanding of engineering or construction drawings (desirable but not essential)
n
Confident computer skills; exposure to CAD or detailing software is an advantage
n
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in the steel or construction industry
