nAbout the Role n
n
The Accounts & Administration Officer is responsible for supporting the financial and administrative operations of the business. This role ensures the accurate processing of financial transactions, maintains organised administrative systems, and provides high-quality support to management, staff, customers, and suppliers.
n

The position plays a key role in maintaining efficient business operations while ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date.

nKey Responsibilities n
nAccounts n

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
n
n
Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up outstanding accounts.
n
n
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, supplier statements, and general ledger accounts.
n
n
Process supplier payments and maintain accurate payment schedules.
n
n
Assist with payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
n
n
Prepare and reconcile expense claims and petty cash.
n
n
Support month-end and year-end financial processes.
n
n
Prepare reports and documentation for BAS, audits, and external accountants.
n
n
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Xero).
n
n
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
n
n
n
nAdministration n
n
n
n
Provide day-to-day administrative support across the business.
n
n
Answer telephone calls, emails, and customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
n
n
Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and business documentation.
n
n
Maintain accurate filing systems and business records.
n
n
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements where required.
n
n
Manage office supplies, equipment, and supplier relationships.
n
n
Assist with document control and record management.
n
n
Support management with reporting, data entry, and general office administration.
n
n
Contribute to the development and improvement of administrative processes and procedures.
n
n
n
nAbout You n
n
n
n
Previous experience in an accounts, bookkeeping, or administration role.
n
n
Sound understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping principles.
n
n
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
n
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
n
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
n
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
n
n
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
n
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
n
Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
