About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to implement and manage the company's HR and workplace health and safety (WHS) functions.
This is a newly created part-time role where you will take ownership of building the business's HR and safety systems, processes and procedures.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Implement and manage HR and WHS systems across the business
Audit and manage safety equipment, processes and procedures
Investigate workplace incidents and maintain accurate WHS records and reporting
Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and safety inductions for recent staff
Provide HR advice and support to managers and staff on policies, employee relations and compliance
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in an HR, WHS or combined HR/WHS role
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
Experience developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures
Experience in the electrical, construction or trades industry (highly regarded)
Solid communication skills and the confidence to engage with staff at all levels
Proactive, adaptable and organised approach within a growing business
