About the role

Nuevo Medical is looking for an AHPRA-registered Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary medical centre in Bundall on the Gold Coast.

This is not a traditional standalone private-practice Physiotherapy role.

You will work as part of an integrated clinical team alongside General Practitioners, Cardiologists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Clinical Psychology and other Allied Health professionals, with an emphasis on coordinated care, internal referral pathways and shared patient outcomes.

A major part of the opportunity is helping us build and shape the Physiotherapy service at Nuevo. We are looking for someone who is clinically strong, collaborative and comfortable taking ownership of a growing service within a broader medical environment.

The role will suit a Physiotherapist who enjoys working across musculoskeletal rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, chronic pain, strength and mobility, return to activity, sports and exercise-related injuries, and chronic disease management.

There will also be strong opportunities to work with patients coming through our Cardiology, General Practice, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics and Psychology services, particularly where rehabilitation is one part of a broader plan involving medical management, exercise, nutrition, behaviour change or long-term lifestyle support.

What you will be doing

- Assessing, treating and managing a broad range of Physiotherapy patients

- Working closely with Nuevo’s GPs, Cardiologists and Allied Health clinicians to coordinate patient care

- Collaborating directly with Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and Clinical Psychology where patients require a broader multidisciplinary approach

- Developing treatment and rehabilitation plans that integrate with the patient’s broader medical and Allied Health needs

- Working collaboratively with Exercise Physiology where patients are transitioning from treatment and rehabilitation into longer-term exercise and conditioning

- Supporting patients with musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, persistent pain, mobility limitations and return-to-activity goals

- Contributing to chronic disease, preventive health and rehabilitation programs





- Using Nuevo’s dedicated rehabilitation and Allied Health gym as part of patient treatment and progression

- Communicating clearly with referring doctors and other clinicians regarding patient progress and treatment plans

- Helping establish referral pathways, clinical workflows and service standards for Physiotherapy within Nuevo

- Contributing ideas around new programs, patient pathways and opportunities to grow the service over time

About you

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who:

- holds current AHPRA registration

- maintains appropriate professional indemnity insurance

- has robust clinical reasoning and communication skills

- is confident working independently while also enjoying multidisciplinary collaboration

- takes a practical, evidence-based and patient-centred approach

- values continuity of care and long-term patient outcomes

- is comfortable communicating directly with GPs, specialists and Allied Health practitioners

- enjoys working alongside disciplines such as Exercise Physiology, Dietetics and Psychology

- wants to contribute to building a service rather than simply stepping into an established caseload

- is interested in being part of a growing multidisciplinary medical centre

Experience in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, rehabilitation, chronic pain, post-operative care, sports injuries, older adult health or exercise-based rehabilitation would be highly regarded.

Nuevo Medical is a new multidisciplinary medical centre in Bundall bringing together General Practice, Cardiology, Allied Health and diagnostic services within one integrated environment.

Our Allied Health team includes Physiotherapy,



Exercise Physiology, Dietetics and Clinical Psychology, with clinicians working closely alongside our GPs and Cardiologists rather than operating as isolated services.

Employment

We are open to full-time or substantial part-time employment for the right candidate.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 + super, depending on experience.
