Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team and supporting the day-to-day production operation, while helping drive improvements across safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and finding better ways of doing things.
You will be encouraged to challenge existing processes, contribute ideas and work closely with experienced leaders to implement improvements across the operation.

Key to this role is the following:

- Lead, coach and develop a team to achieve daily production and performance targets.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and service standards.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.




- Drive and support Continuous Improvement initiatives across the operation.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, methods and processes.
- Work with the team to reduce waste, improve productivity and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure production targets and key performance indicators are achieved.
- Encourage a culture of accountability, problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
- Support the implementation of new processes and operational improvements.
- Ensure employees are appropriately trained and supported to perform their roles.
- Lead by example and create a positive, respectful and high-performing team environment.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the overall operation.

Skills Required

- Experience in a supervisory, team leader or junior management role.
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong people leadership and communication skills.
- A genuine Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
- An interest in improving systems, processes and operational efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.
- Results-focused with a solid sense of accountability.
- High level of self-motivation and initiative.
- A willingness to learn and develop under an experienced business leader.
