The Silva Spoon is a well-established café, teahouse and retail destination in Maroochydore, known for warm service, beautiful food, high tea and an extensive loose-leaf tea range. We’ve also been recognised as Queensland’s Best Tea House multiple times, most recently for 2025.

The role

We're looking for an experienced hospitality manager to take end-to-end ownership of the day-to-day operation of the venue. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll work alongside the team during service, lead FOH and BOH, solve problems, improve how we work and make sure the venue runs smoothly without the owners needing to be involved in every day-to-day decision. You'll be supported by an existing Front of House Manager and experienced senior kitchen staff.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and develop the FOH and BOH teams, including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and performance coaching

- Own day-to-day workforce planning, including rostering, labour efficiency and resolving staffing gaps autonomously

- Maintain high standards of customer service, presentation and cleanliness

- Own food safety and operational compliance

- Improve BOH organisation,



communication and workflow

- Keep an eye on stock, wastage and day-to-day operating costs

- Coordinate maintenance and routine operational issues

- Strengthen systems and documentation, including recipes, procedures, cleaning schedules and checklists

- Develop recommendations for new food, drinks, seasonal activity and operational improvements

- Provide the owners with a clear weekly operational update

The qualities we're looking for

- Previous experience managing a café, restaurant or hospitality venue

- Confident, warm and practical leader

- Ability to coach people and stay calm under pressure

- Sound decision-making skills and understanding of the commercial basics of running a venue

- Comfortable leading and coordinating an experienced kitchen team

Benefits

- $75,000–$80,000 + super based on experience
