Permanent Mount Isa role for an experienced Telco Technician
Your new company
Hays is partnering with a major telecommunications organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Field Technician for a permanent prospect based in Mount Isa.
Your new role
This is a hands-on field position focused on the installation, maintenance and fault finding of telecommunications infrastructure and services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Installation, repair and maintenance of telecommunications equipment
Fault finding and troubleshooting network and customer equipment
Working across fibre, copper and HFC infrastructure
Service activation and fault rectification
Network upgrades and preventative maintenance
Fibre splicing and cable termination
Responding to technical faults and service issues
Completing associated field reporting and documentation
The role is 38 hours per week, operating within normal working hours of 7am to 7pm, with overtime as required.
What you'll need to succeed
ACMA cabling licence
Current driver's licence
Cert III or Cert IV in Telecommunications
Recent telecommunications field experience
Solid installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills
Experience with fibre, copper, HFC or similar telecommunications infrastructure
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously in a field-based workplace
