Cloud Team Lead

We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Team Lead to join a growing Managed Services environment in Brisbane.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining people management, technical leadership and Cloud service delivery. You’ll lead a team of Cloud Engineers and Senior Cloud Engineers, whilst acting as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues and major incidents.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:
Leading, coaching and developing a team of Cloud Engineers and Senior Cloud Engineers
Acting as the L4 escalation point for complex technical issues and major incidents
Providing technical leadership across AWS and on-prem Microsoft environments
Supporting SLA, incident and backlog management
Reviewing complex technical work, changes and root cause analysis
Driving continuous improvement across service delivery and operational processes
Identifying capability gaps and supporting training and certification plans
Working closely with Service Delivery and Customer Success teams on client escalations
Contributing to Cloud standards, reference architectures and delivery practices
Helping shape and develop the wider Cloud Practice as it grows

About you

We’re looking for someone with:




Strpng hands-on AWS experience, particularly across areas such as networking, IAM, landing zones and Well-Architected principles
Strong Microsoft infrastructure experience, including areas such as Active Directory, virtualisation and hybrid settings
Previous experience within a Managed Services / MSP setting
Experience leading and developing technical teams
Strong experience with incident, escalation and problem management
A good understanding of SLAs, operational delivery and service quality
The ability to remain technically involved while also providing effective people leadership
A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in developing Cloud services and capability

Alongside leading the team and supporting day-to-day service delivery, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the Cloud Practice, including its standards, capability roadmap and delivery approach, with the potential to take on greater ownership as the practice develops.
