We are seeking a friendly, reliable and organised Dental Receptionist to join our team. This is a wide-ranging role within our practice, where you will be an important part of creating a positive experience for our patients. As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you will play a key role in helping ensure the day-to-day operations of the practice run smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Answering incoming calls and assisting patients with enquiries
Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional experience
Managing a busy appointment book, coordinating appointments and complex treatments
Monitoring and responding to emails
Following up referrals, x-rays, scans and other information required for appointments
Liaising with referring practices and other healthcare professionals
Processing payments, including HICAPS and DVA/PRODA
Managing billing and patient accounts
Completing end-of-day banking and reconciliation
About you
Previous dental reception experience essential, ideally 2+ years' experience as a Receptionist/Dental Assistant
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
High attention to detail
Proactive and solution-focused approach when faced with challenges or unexpected situations
Communicates confidently and professionally with patients, dentists, specialists and other healthcare specialists
The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member
Dental implant knowledge and experience will be highly regarded
Experience with dental software (Exact preferred), Word, Outlook and HICAPS/EFT
