Freelance Event Technology & POS Technician

One World Rental is a global event technology and staffing company providing technical solutions and onsite support across conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, hospitality, festivals, and retail environments.

We are expanding our freelance technician network and are seeking reliable, technically capable professionals to support event technology and POS deployments across Australia

The Role

You will be responsible for the setup, configuration, testing, and onsite support of POS and event technology systems. You will work directly with clients, venue teams, and fellow technicians to ensure systems are operational and supported throughout each assignment.

Key duties include:
Installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting POS and event technology.
Supporting ordering, payment, receipt, kitchen docket, and labelling workflows.
Troubleshooting printers, barcode scanners, RFID readers, routers, switches, and network connectivity.
Providing onsite go-live support and resolving technical issues efficiently.
Assisting with client training and providing transparent handovers.
Following project briefs, SOPs, and technical checklists.
Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.

Experience & Requirements





We are looking for candidates with experience in POS/EPOS, IT support, event technology, hospitality technology, AV, or retail systems.

You should have:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Basic networking knowledge, including Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and printers.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
The ability to work independently in rapid-paced environments.
A professional, reliable, and proactive approach.
Full driver's licence and access to your own vehicle.
Active ABN.
Flexible availability, including weekdays, early starts, weekends, and event-based assignments.

Full day availability ( Weekend & Weekdays)

Rate & Opportunities

AU $32 per hour depending on the assignment and experience.

This is a freelance, project-based opportunity, with the potential to receive future assignments across Singapore through One World Rental's growing network of event technology specialists.
