The Tiny Grocer is looking for a reliable, hard-working, team player to join our small boutique grocer team as a catering assistant and grocer team member.

About the Role
Casual position
10 - 20 hours per week
Weekday morning availability is essential (Monday to Friday)
Must be available over the Christmas Holiday period

What You'll Be Doing
Greeting and assisting customers with a positive attitude
Processing sales through the point-of-sale system
Restocking shelves and maintaining store presentation
Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and well organised
Answering customer enquiries and providing product information
Assisting with opening and closing duties as required
Assisting with deli and catering preparation of products (preparing sandwiches, roast chickens, cooking hot chips, fresh salads etc).

Able to work independently and as part of a team




Comfortable handling cash and using a point-of-sale system (training provided if needed)
Experience in hospitality preferred.
A willingness to learn and take initiative
Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential

Availability

Applicants must be available to work weekdays and be adaptable to cover shifts between Monday and Friday. This role offers 10 - 20 hours per week.
Must be available over the Christmas Holiday Period. We will not be closing and are hiring intentionally to cover staff absentees over this time frame and to grow our team.
