About Me
I am a woman in my 30s living independently in the community of Torrens Park. I enjoy getting out and catching up with friends and family. I am a seasoned traveller, and I love to sing and bowl. I enjoy learning Braille, and my goal is to one day, teach others how to use it. I live with my partner and cat.
The Role
I direct my own support and I’m looking for a new support worker to join my long-term and dedicated support team. My support workers assist me in all aspects of my daily life – and support me to live out my vision for a good life. This role will be ideal for someone who is a valuable listener and a strong communicator.
My team supports me over 7 days per week; I am looking for someone to support me for regular shifts a week with some back filling when other workers are on leave:
Wednesday 7:00am – 9:00am
Friday 2:00pm – 5:00pm
The role is paid at level 2.1. Casual base rate (currently $45.28 per hour)
All applicants must have or willingness to obtain:
Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
A current NDIS worker check
First Aid Certificate
Company Overview
For more than 30 years, the Community Living Project has worked in close partnership with families to build prospects for a good life for their family member who is living with a disability. Community Living Project focuses on building inclusion. To us, this means that everyone matters and all people are welcomed, included and contributing to community life. We work with one person at a time to craft individualised support in a way that ensures each person (and their family) has as much control as possible over all aspects of their life. We believe all people should have the prospect to pursue a unique lifestyle that is personally meaningful, relevant and typically intertwined in their community. We will not offer you a generic ‘program’, ‘vacancy’ or ‘place’. Instead, we will help you to craft your participation and inclusion in the community.
