About the Role We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team. The role involves preparing a wide variety of pastries, doughs, and baked goods, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate thrives in a quick-paced environment, works well in a team, and has a solid understanding of baking techniques and machinery. Key Responsibilities

●Check the cleanliness of equipment and the operation of premises before productionruns to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety.

●Check the quality of raw materials and accurately weigh ingredients.

●Knead, mature, cut, mould, mix, and shape dough and pastry products.

●Prepare pastry fillings, glazes, and decorations.

●Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.

●Coordinate forming, loading, baking,



unloading, de-panning, and cooling of pastrybatches.

●Glaze buns and pastries, and decorate cakes with cream and icing.

●Operate machines for rolling and moulding dough and cutting biscuits.

●Empty, clean, and grease baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment.

Qualifications & Skills

●Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Pastry focus) including atleast two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV.

●Proven experience in high-volume pastry production and fast-paced bakeryenvironments.

●Robust understanding of baking techniques, machinery, and safety standards.

● Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.

● Strong teamwork, communication, and time management abilities.

● Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: From $79,423.00 per year
