Can you run a busy Saturday night and still get the shot?

Ricks Garage is a big American-style diner with three bars: the Retro Bar, the Whiskey Bar and the Garden Bar. Next door is the Ricks Garage Bakehouse. We do live music, car and bike club meets, family nights and big weekends. We need a Duty Manager who can run the floor and also show people what a night at Ricks looks like.

You're a Duty Manager first. Once a month our contract content creator comes in for a planned shoot, and that covers the polished stuff. What a monthly shoot can't get is what Ricks feels like on a packed Saturday night. That's your job. You'll be on the floor every weekend, so you're there when the music kicks off, the burgers hit the pass and the car park fills up with chrome. Capture the soul of Ricks as it happens, and together you and the content creator will show people the whole picture.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Run shifts
Open, close and run the venue as Duty Manager
Lead the team on the floor, sort out problems quickly and keep service moving
Look after cash handling, compliance and responsible service of alcohol
Keep labour in check and stick to the roster





Capture the content (your KPI)
Work the floor on weekends and capture the real Ricks: the food coming out of the pass, drinks being made, the band, the cars out front, the regulars, the crowd
Shoot photos and short videos in the moment, while service keeps running
Deliver an agreed amount of usable weekend content each week
Flag upcoming events, specials and club meets so they can go into the monthly shoot brief

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Hospitality leadership experience, as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or Senior Supervisor
A valuable eye. You already film things on your phone that people actually want to watch
You know what makes people stop scrolling on Reels and TikTok
You're comfortable on the floor when it's busy and can do two things at once without dropping either
You're happy to work to a brief and share ideas
