Axess Groupis establishing and expanding operations in the Northern Territory. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the launch of our Darwin office, build local operational capability, and drive growth across the region's key sectors, including mining, energy, offshore, and renewables.
This is a strategic role with significant influence, focused on operational setup, compliance, business development, and team leadership.
Key focus areas include:
Launching and managing the Darwin office.
Developing Axess Offshore Australia's operational footprint in the Northern Territories.
Building local capabilities and ensuring full operational readiness.
Leading business development efforts across mining, offshore, energy, and renewables.
Overseeing compliance, operational processes, margins, and project delivery.
Driving high-quality technical service operations and client satisfaction.
Recruiting, developing,



and leading a local team in a startup/expansion setting.

Essential Requirements
Proven experience managing technical service operations in energy, mining, offshore, or related industries.
Robust business development capability with understanding of margins, project financials, and working capital.
Confident communicator and technical aptitude and problem solver.
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop teams, particularly in a growth or startup setting.
Relevant industry qualifications and certifications.
Proven track record in Global Operations.
English proficiency.

Beneficial Experience
Experience working in the Northern Territory market.
Experience in remote and offshore operations.
NDT/Lifting inspection background would be advantageous as some offshore work may be required in the early days.
