Who we are

Ventraa Group is a Melbourne building group with three parts to its business:
Developments. Our development business delivers high end domestic builds. This role sits here.
Building products. We supply builders with windows and doors, Ventraa Panels (our AAC wall panel) and light gauge steel frames, direct from our own factory.
Trades. Plumbing and electrical businesses are joining the group.

The group is growing, and we have recently opened our office in Epping.

The role

We need a project manager who can run jobs from the first day on site through to handover without being chased. You'll have several projects going at once, and you'll be on site often enough to know what's really happening on each.

What you'll do
Run the program: line up trades, materials and deliveries in the right order, and re-plan when something slips.
Walk the sites with the supervisors and check progress and workmanship.
Read the drawings, pick up discrepancies, and get them answered before work starts.
Keep the money straight: track costs, check subcontractor claims, and get variations approved before they're built.
Deal with clients, architects, engineers and the building surveyor,



and book the inspections.
Keep sites protected, and follow up until issues are closed.
Close out defects and hand the job over.
Send us one transparent update a week: progress, costs, delays, and decisions we need to make.

What you need
A track record of taking builds from start to finish, with more than one site running at a time.
You hold subcontractors to their dates and their workmanship, and you raise problems early.
Solid on sequencing, drawings, budgets, programs and variations.
Working knowledge of Australian building requirements and site safety.
White Card and driver's licence, and you're comfortable with spreadsheets and project management software.

Nice to have

High end residential, townhouse or multi-unit experience. A trade or site supervisor background. A qualification in construction management, building or engineering. Your own network of reliable Melbourne trades.
