Position Summary:

As a Sports Coach at Bright Stars Academy, you are the frontline facilitator of active fun, skill development, and confidence building on the pitch or court. You are responsible for delivering session plans created by the Head Coach with maximum energy, clear instruction, and age-appropriate pedagogy. You create an inclusive, zero-pressure environment where every child feels encouraged to try new skills and build "Social Bravery."

Key Responsibilities
High-Energy Session Delivery
Curriculum Execution: Facilitate warm-up games, technical drills, and match play according to the weekly session plans designed by the Head Coach.
Group Management: Lead groups of children aged 2–11 with loud, explicit instruction, age-appropriate language, and vibrant physical demonstrations.
Skill Progression: Demonstrate techniques accurately, adapt drills for varying skill levels, and help participants achieve weekly skill milestones.
On-Field Engagement & Parent Communication
Explicit Articulation: Introduce yourself to parents,



clearly state weekly session objectives prior to kickoff, and articulate learning outcomes post-session.
Individual Recognition: Identify participant effort and progress, delivering weekly written/verbal shoutouts, stickers, and praise.
Social Bravery & Inclusion: Support shy, nervous, or upset participants using gentle encouragement to ensure every child participates with a smile.

Requirements & Qualifications
Coaching or Teaching Background: 1+ years experience coaching youth sports, teaching, or leading structured early childhood activity programs.
Energetic Personality: "Big" personality, loud clear voice, high energy, and a genuine care factor for working with children.
Reliability & Punctuality: Strict adherence to arrival times and attendance requirements.
Compliance: Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and active ABN.

Job Types: Part-time, Subcontract, Casual, Volunteer

Pay: $26.50 – $32.00 per hour
