About the role

The Boarding Cattery Manager will lead and oversee the daily operations of the boarding cattery to ensure effective and high-quality cat boarding services at our Mornington center, which focuses exclusively on cat boarding services.

Key responsibilities
Lead and oversee the daily operations of the boarding cattery to ensure efficient and high-quality cat boarding services.
Select, supervise, and train staff responsible for feeding, cleaning, and caring for boarded cats, ensuring consistent service standards.
Monitor the health, wellbeing, and behaviour of cats in the facility and ensure appropriate care procedures are implemented.
Supervise and coordinate staff handling customer bookings, enquiries, and check-in/check-out procedures to ensure productive operations and a positive client experience.
Establish and maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety within the cattery facility.
Develop and implement operational procedures and staff routines to ensure smooth workflow and consistent service quality.
Monitor inventory levels of cat food, litter, bedding, and other supplies, and coordinate purchasing when required.
Oversee the management of customer feedback and service issues,



ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement in service quality.
Ensure the cattery operates in compliance with relevant animal welfare regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, and company policies.
Report operational performance to management and contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality and operational efficiency.

About you
At least a Diploma in relevant field or three years work experience in similar position
Robust background in cattery management and pet care operations.
Knowledge of animal welfare, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with staff leadership experience.
Customer-focused, able to manage bookings, enquiries, and feedback professionally.
Highly organised, with robust time management and decision-making skills.
Ability to oversee daily operations in a quick-paced environment.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to maintain high standards of care.
