About the role

KSI Sawmills is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious person to join our team in a diverse role combining local timber deliveries with hands-on sawmill work.

You will drive a single semi-trailer, delivering timber throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas. When deliveries are not scheduled, you will assist with timber processing and other sawmill duties.

Key responsibilities
Delivering timber safely and efficiently to customers
Assisting with loading and unloading, checking orders and securing loads
Completing vehicle pre-start checks and reporting faults or maintenance requirements
Managing delivery paperwork and communicating professionally with customers
Assisting with timber processing, sizing, grading, stacking and packing
Operating sawmill machinery once trained and authorised




Keeping vehicles and work areas clean and tidy
Following all safety procedures and reporting hazards

About you
A current Heavy Combination (HC) licence suitable for driving a single semi-trailer
Heavy vehicle driving experience, a responsible driving history and a solid commitment to safety
Knowledge of vehicle weight limits, axle load limits and secure load restraint requirements
Reliability, punctuality and good communication skills
The ability to perform physical duties and manual handling safely
A willingness to work across different areas of the sawmill
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
