Thomas Electrical & Solar is looking for an experienced Warehouse Storeperson to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our warehouse, stock and material ordering. This is a hands-on role combining warehouse duties with purchasing and inventory management. You'll be responsible for making sure our electrical, solar and battery installation teams have the correct materials ready for their jobs, while keeping all purchasing and stock movements accurately recorded through Simpro.
Key responsibilities
Ordering materials and equipment from suppliers
Creating and managing purchase orders in Simpro
Receiving and checking supplier deliveries against purchase orders
Receipting purchase orders and supplier invoices through Simpro
Allocating purchased materials and warehouse stock to the correct jobs
Picking and preparing materials for upcoming installation teams
Maintaining warehouse stock and minimum stock levels
Regular stocktakes and inventory counts
Investigating and correcting stock discrepancies
Operating a forklift for loading, unloading and organising stock
About you
Previous experience in a similar warehouse, storeperson, purchasing or inventory role is essential
Current forklift licence
Current manual driver's licence
Solid computer skills
Positive attention to detail
Solid organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the warehouse
Physically capable of handling general electrical, solar and battery equipment
Reliable and punctual
Confident dealing with suppliers and our field and office teams
