Role Description The Survey Draftsperson will prepare detailed survey plans and drawings based on field data, notes, and instructions from surveyors. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting survey measurements, producing accurate CAD drawings, updating and maintaining plan records, and ensuring all documentation aligns with relevant standards and regulations. The role involves close collaboration with surveyors, town planners, and engineers to support subdivision plans, boundary surveys, construction set-out,



and other land development projects.

Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Magnet Office, 12d or similar) and ability to produce explicit, accurate survey plans and technical drawings.
Understanding of surveying principles, land development processes, and basic knowledge of relevant local regulations and standards.
Solid attention to detail, spatial awareness, and ability to interpret field notes, measurements, and engineering sketches.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with surveyors, town planners, engineers, and administrative staff.
Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple drafting tasks and meeting project deadlines.
Relevant qualification in surveying, drafting, engineering, or a closely related discipline (certificate, diploma, or degree preferred).
