Full Job Description
Cabana Bar, one of Sydney’s vibrant inner-city hospitality venues, is seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our venue management team. Located in the heart of the CBD, Cabana Bar is known for its lively atmosphere, quality food and beverage offering, and high standard of customer service.
We are looking for a hospitality professional who can lead by example, support smooth day-to-day venue operations and help maintain excellent service, compliance and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily bar and floor operations during allocated shifts.
Supervise and coordinate staff duties to ensure smooth and productive service.
Provide leadership, support and guidance to front-of-house team members.
Train and onboard staff in service standards, venue procedures and RSA requirements.
Manage cash handling, POS operations, reconciliations and end-of-shift reporting.
Assist with stock control, ordering and supplier coordination.
Ensure compliance with RSA, liquor licensing, WHS and venue policies.
Monitor venue presentation,



cleanliness and service standards.
Respond to customer enquiries and resolve service issues professionally.
Support opening and closing procedures and work closely with senior management to achieve venue objectives.

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a Duty Manager, Bar Supervisor or similar senior hospitality role.
Robust team leadership and staff supervision skills.
Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience with cash handling, POS systems, stock control and ordering.
Sound knowledge of RSA, licensing and workplace safety requirements.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced venue.
Solid communication, organisational and time-management skills.
Flexible availability across evenings, weekends and public holidays
