At DE Employment Services Pty Ltd, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our team, delivering high-quality dishes with a focus on quality ingredients, consistency and professional kitchen standards.

About the Role

As a Chef, you will play a key role in menu development, food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to deliver a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
• Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Discussing food preparation and menu development with managers, kitchen and waiting staff
• Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on preparation procedures
• Preparing and cooking food with precision and attention to detail
• Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations and ensuring compliance with food safety standards
• Selecting and training staff as needed to maintain high kitchen performance
• Freezing and preserving foods when required, ensuring proper storage and waste management

What We’re Looking For





• Diploma of Hospitality or equivalent qualification, or 3 years’ relevant employment experience in lieu of qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a skilled kitchen
• Strong understanding of cooking methods and high-quality ingredients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining precision and consistency
• Excellent organisational skills, with experience in stock control and menu planning
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff
• Commitment to hygiene, food safety and workplace safety regulations
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak service hours as required
