Role Description The Sprinkler Fitter is a full-time, in office role based in Melbourne, VIC. Day-to-day responsibilities include testing and maintaining and repairing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with relevant standards and company procedures. The role involves reading and interpreting plans, laying out and assembling pipework, using hand tools and equipment safely, and performing functional tests on sprinkler and life safety systems.

The Sprinkler

Fitter will document work performed, collaborate with other trades, communicate clearly with site supervisors and clients,



and ensure each project meets quality, compliance, and safety requirements.

Qualifications
Proficiency with sprinkler systems testing and maintaining automatic sytems, pumps and the testing of fire indicator panels
Strong experience working with pipe systems, including cutting, threading, fitting, and alignment.
Skilled in safe and effective use of hand tools and related equipment for installation and maintenance work.
Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in fire protection or plumbing, with experience in commercial environments.
Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASNZ/NCC/BCA) related to fire protection systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications with attention to detail.
Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to Safe Work practices and use of PPE.
Reliable work ethic, capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, and effective communication skills.
Current driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites as required throughout Victoria.
