About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong technical accounting background to join our team on a temporary basis for an initial period of approximately six months. There may be an opportunity for the position to continue on an ongoing basis. Based in our Rosebery office, you will provide support across a broad range of accounting, financial reporting and bookkeeping functions.

The successful candidate will have robust technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently while effectively managing competing priorities.

Key responsibilities
Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Prepare account reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations and financial reports.
Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, supporting schedules and internal financial systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant taxation and payroll legislation.
Manage and maintain accounting information across multiple entities.
Liaise with external accountants,



auditors and other financial advisers as required.
Provide general office administration and operational support when required.
Undertake other accounting and financial duties as directed.

About you
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
CPA or CA qualification.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using Xero and/or MYOB preferable.
Experience managing accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and take ownership of responsibilities.
A mature, proactive and professional approach to work.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
