About the role The primary objective of the position is to generate sales through delivering the highest level of customer service to all Clark Rubber customers and assist in providing a welcoming, clean, neat and well merchandised retail store.

Key responsibilities
Serve customers courteously and efficiently ensuring the highest level of customer service standards are met at all times.
Assist customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
Answer customer queries and provide guidance and advice on product selection.
Achieve sales and gross profit targets as set by the Store Manager.
Engage with all customers in requesting and collecting their email address as a Mailing List subscriber.
Operate the Point-of-Sale system efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all revenue is correctly recorded.
Stock shelves and display product in accordance with planograms and Merchandising Standards.
Ticket items within the store in accordance with the Merchandising Standards.




Report discrepancies and problems to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Balance and count registers at start and end of day.

About you
Friendly and engaging personality.
Comfortable working with members of the public.
Confident, helpful and polite.
Physically fit as you will be on your feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
Understanding and experience of sales, retail, merchandising, or customer service.
Able to work as part of a sales team.
Smart appearance and articulate.
Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
Demonstrate respect and teamwork within the work setting.
Participate as an active team member through the establishment of a consistent, supportive and cooperative working relationship.
