Working directly at customer sites, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment is protected, compliant and performing as it should. This is a FIFO role servicing customers throughout the Pilbara region of Western Australia. You'll work 8 days on, including some weekends, followed by 6 days off, working 12-hour shifts but the roster can vary each visit.
You will spend up to 16 days per month away from home, depending on operational requirements. All travel and accommodation costs are covered by the company.
Key responsibilities
Conducting scheduled inspections of tooling and equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
Testing tooling and equipment using specialised calibration and testing equipment in onsite containers.
Recording accurate equipment information and test results using a tablet and asset management system.
Communicating clearly with site teams about equipment condition, failures and compliance requirements.
Carrying out minor repairs and adjustments to onsite equipment.
Accurately recording and monitoring inventory and parts used onsite.
Building positive relationships with customers and site teams.
Following all WHS requirements, site procedures and operational processes.
About you
Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic tools, or other hands-on mechanical experience.
A safety-first mindset and a commitment to following WHS requirements and site procedures.
The ability and willingness to travel and work away from home as required (FIFO roster).
Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently communicate with customers and site teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Positive computer skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office, tablets and digital systems.
A can-do attitude, practical approach and genuine desire to learn and develop.
The ability to work independently while also being part of a supportive team.
Knowledge or experience with torque equipment and calibration would be highly desirable, but is not essential.
