About the role The Administration Officer supports the day-to-day operations of Cairns Painting Contractors. You will assist with general office tasks, data entry, document control, and project administration while learning the ins and outs of what is necessary for projects to run smoothly and efficiently with support from the team. This role offers hands-on experience, structure, and the chance to build strong administration skills for a long-term career.

Key responsibilities
Support project setup processes, including updating information in company systems
Assist with project administration and reporting
Provide general office and administrative support
Data entry and maintenance of electronic and hard-copy records
Document control and filing
Scheduling
Potential to learn how to quote and estimate projects
Assist with preparing documents such as plans, forms, and project paperwork
First point of contact for clients and bookings
Coordinate meetings and general office requirements

About you
Training provided - experience in administration preferred




A strong willingness to learn and a positive, reliable attitude
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Explicit written and verbal communication
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to manage tasks, follow processes, and meet deadlines
Professional, punctual, and team-focused
Interest in construction or office-based work is an advantage
