Kitchen Hand & Cleaner – Aged Care | Hervey Bay, QLD

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Kitchen Hands and Cleaners to support an aged care facility in Hervey Bay, QLD for a short-term assignment of approximately 13–16 days.

Kitchen Hand

We are looking for a Kitchen Hand with previous aged care experience to assist with the day-to-day operation of the facility kitchen.

Key responsibilities
Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
Prepare and plate meals as required
Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
Follow food safety, hygiene and infection control procedures
Assist the kitchen team with general duties as required

Requirements
Previous Kitchen Hand experience in an aged care environment is required
Food Safety knowledge is highly regarded
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, hardworking and able to work well within a team
Availability for the full assignment period

Cleaner





We are also seeking a reliable Cleaner to assist with maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic aged care setting.

Key responsibilities
Cleaning resident rooms and common areas
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Following infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
Completing general cleaning duties as required

Requirements
Previous cleaning experience
Aged care or healthcare cleaning experience is highly regarded
Solid attention to detail
Reliable and qualified work ethic
Availability for the required assignment period
