Cafe in Hawthorn is looking for an experienced full time barista to join our team with an immediate start available.

We are looking for someone confident working independently on coffee in a busy café and who is also happy to help the team across front of house when required.

About the role
Full time, approximately 38 hours per week Immediate start available Daytime café hours Weekend availability required Making and serving consistently high-quality coffee Dialling in and adjusting espresso throughout service Latte art and strong milk-texturing skills Managing coffee workflow during busy periods Helping with till, customer service and general FOH when required Opening and closing duties Maintaining cleanliness and coffee equipment Helping train junior/all-rounder staff where required

We’re looking for someone who




Has at least 2 years of strong commercial café barista experience Can confidently handle a busy coffee service independently Has good latte art and espresso knowledge Is reliable, organised and calm under pressure Has excellent customer service skills Works well as part of a small team Is available for an immediate start

There is also an opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress into a senior/shift-supervisor role for the right person. Pay: In accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award, based on classification and experience.

Location: Hawthorn, Melbourne

Pay: $27.00 – $48.35 per hour
