Network Construction Services is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to manage procurement, subcontract administration and the financial performance of projects across commercial and residential construction, including hospitality fit-outs and residential remedial works.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and administering RFIs, EOTs, variations and payment claims
Preparing cost forecasts and cash flow reports, and monitoring project budgets
Managing subcontract packages from scope preparation and tendering through procurement, variations, payment and close-out
Ordering and coordinating materials before construction starts and throughout the project to meet site requirements and programme dates
Preparing tender comparisons and procurement recommendations
Preparing and lodging required project documents through the NSW Planning Portal and other relevant building portals
Maintaining solid relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
About you
At least 3–5 years' experience in a Contract Administrator role with a principal or managing contractor
A qualification in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field
Experience in hospitality, commercial or residential construction, with knowledge of the Sydney subcontractor market
Working knowledge of the National Construction Code, security of payment legislation and work health and safety requirements
Sound commercial judgment and an understanding of head contracts and project risk
Robust communication, organisation and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Australian citizenship, as required for this position
