About the role

RGM Maintenance is seeking motivated and reliable apprentices to join our team in Rocklea. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working around Daimler Trucks and heavy vehicles, while completing your apprenticeship and working towards becoming a qualified tradesperson.

Key responsibilities

Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic:
Servicing and maintaining heavy vehicles
Mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
Fault finding and diagnostics
Inspecting and identifying mechanical issues
Working with diesel engines and vehicle systems
Using hand tools, workshop equipment and diagnostic equipment
Learning protected and productive workshop practices
Working alongside experienced tradespeople

Apprentice Boilermaker:
Welding and metal fabrication
Cutting, grinding and fitting
Repairs and modifications
Reading and interpreting drawings
Fabrication and maintenance of components
Using workshop tools and machinery




Learning different welding and fabrication techniques
Working alongside experienced tradespeople

About you
Have a genuine interest in trucks, heavy vehicles, mechanics or fabrication
Are keen to learn and develop a trade
Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
Have a good attitude and willingness to learn
Take pride in their work
Are safety-conscious
Can follow instructions and work as part of a team
Are committed to completing their apprenticeship
No previous trade experience is required

About us At RGM Maintenance, you'll have the prospect to develop your skills in a hands-on heavy vehicle environment, working alongside experienced tradespeople and gaining practical industry experience. You'll be supported throughout your apprenticeship while developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified tradesperson.
