This isn’t a role where you’ll maintain one small part of a legacy system. You’ll build and improve business-critical software, contribute to architectural decisions and take genuine ownership from design through to production.

What you’ll build





You’ll design and develop Java and Spring Boot services supporting a complex, cloud-based fintech platform.

You’ll work across APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing and event-driven systems, partnering with product and engineering teams to turn business requirements into reliable production software.

You’ll ideally have:
Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot
Excellent object-oriented programming and software-engineering fundamentals
Experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices
Exposure to Kafka or other event-driven/messaging technologies
Commercial experience with AWS
Enough Angular experience to understand an existing codebase and resolve support issues
Experience with relational databases and application performance
Solid testing, debugging and production-support capability
Experience using AI-assisted development tools productively and responsibly
A background in SaaS, fintech, financial services or another complex product environment
Solid communication skills and the ability to take ownership without heavy direction
