Our client is an ASX-listed global business with their Australian head office based in Dandenong South. A rare and highly attractive prospect has become available for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis . It is essential to be either CA or CPA qualified, as well as possessing SAP systems experience.
This is a genuine hybrid opportunity, offering the flexibility to work:
3 days in the office
2 days from home
Salary: $130,000 base + Super
THE ROLE:
Part of a close-knit and high performing finance team, this position of Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for but not limited to:
All aspects with month- and year-end preparation, including monthly and ad-hoc journals
Reporting and analysis, including analysis of all aspects of sales, COGS & operating expenses information
Conduct monthly account reconciliations, identify and rectify discrepancies, and ensure the integrity of financial data
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Maintain the fixed asset register
Liaise with external auditors and assist with audit preparation and responses
Prepare annual statutory accounts
Financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Any other tasks requested by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
The successful applicant will have/be;
CPA or CA qualified
Degree qualified in Business/Commerce
SAP systems experience
Full Australian work rights
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and compliance requirements
Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Excellent attention to detail with robust analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication & interpersonal skills as well as taking pride in personal presentation.
