Full Time Hours - Secure Ongoing Role - Temp to Perm
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Office Administrator to join our team in Smithfield.
This is a hands-on all-rounder role within a small team suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership and likes being involved in all aspects of a fast paced manufacturing team.
As the key administrator supporting our office, production floor and warehouse, you will play an significant role in keeping the day-to-day operation running smoothly. From assisting customers and processing orders through to inventory, purchasing, and coordinating the premises, you will have the chance to make a real impact across the business. The role is based in the office right next to the production floor.
About the Role
Working closely with the operations and dispatch managers, your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service & Sales Support
Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person.
Process customer orders and assist with data entry.
Support invoicing and purchase order requirements
Resolve customer enquiries, complaints and product issues professionally.
Monitor backorders and keep customers informed of order status.
Provide customer support on behalf of the production team as needed.
Meet and Greet deliveries and assist in receiving.
Purchasing & Supplier Management
Raise and manage purchase orders.
Follow up supplier orders and deliveries.
Office, Warehouse & Facilities
Coordinate general visitors and deliveries.
Liaise with production, sales & operations teams.
Monitor office and warehouse supplies and arrange replenishment.
Help maintain a safe, clean, organised and professional workplace.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in office administration, customer service, sales administration or a similar all-rounder role.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Positive computer skills and confidence learning new business systems.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
A practical, "can-do" attitude and willingness to get involved where needed.
The ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, trade or distribution environment would be highly regarded.
